Lomogrrl
The Lomo is a Russian camera discovered by Viennese art students in the 1970's (yes that was the last century!) It has garnered a cult following because of its occult qualities of producing photos with lurid colors under impossibly low light conditions. The slavish addiction of lomographers compel us to take pictures of everything all the time.

The galleries consist of polaroid transfers and emulsion lifts that I’ve either hand-colored, collaged or both. Most of the coloring was done with pastels, oils and watercolor pencils.

Kozielski, Jack
Polaroid image transfers are an experimental medium of "Cross over Art" that uses Polaroid film and technology to create images which combine photography and hand-crafted printing technique. By exploring the unique variables of the image transfer medium, I mix the artificial with the natural to create images that are at once lyrical, surrealistic and jarring. In my work, I attempt to communicate to the viewers that there are more nuances to beauty than the casual observer sees.

Thomson, Larrie
Since so many interesting details seem to get lost in the shadows after dark, I sometimes use special lighting effects in my night photography. These colorful highlights are created by adding colored light to the scene, on location during the time exposures. None of these lighting effects have been created digitally or in the darkroom.

Culton, David
Light is amazing and mysterious stuff. It defines how we visually perceive our world and yet it is intangible and untouchable. Light is also the photographer's palette; by taking a photograph we are capturing and gathering light, 'painting' on film.

McVay, Ken
Photographing nature and wildlife can be one of the most rewarding hobbies anyone can take up. No matter if you are working with birds or landscapes, there is no better feeling than seeing the results of your photographic achievement hanging proudly from a wall. All wildlife photography, including birds, can be one of the most challenging genres in photography. The reason for this is the photographer's inability to control the subject.
